Find a student job at the university

Many university services and faculties recruit student assistants throughout the year for short-term or longer-term work, such as:

  • Welcoming students
  • Supporting students with disabilities
  • Tutoring
  • IT support and help with digital tools
  • Assisting library and administrative staff
  • Taking part in cultural, artistic, scientific, sporting or social activities, as well as initiatives to promote health and sustainable development
  • Supporting career development
  • Promoting study programmes

The University Life Office (Service de la vie universitaire – SVU) also regularly shares external job offers beyond the university.

Other ways to find a student job

You can browse Jobaviz, the student job platform run by the Centre régional des œuvres universitaires et scolaires (Crous). Jobaviz mainly lists part-time jobs during the academic year and full-time jobs during university breaks.

You can also find part-time and full-time student jobs and traineeships on the 1jeune1solution platform for free, as well as practical guides to help you write your CV and prepare for interviews.

You can apply to become a teaching assistant in a school through the French education authority (rectorat). For more information, visit the Académie de Strasbourg website or contact them directly.

You can also contact your student health insurance provider. The Mutuelle générale des étudiants de lorraine (MGEL) and the Ligue mutualiste des étudiants (LMDE) offer their members free access to job and internship opportunities. The MGEL also provides free training to help you write your CV and cover letters and prepare for interviews.

If you are aged 16 to 25, or under 30 and living with a disability, you can become a Civic Service volunteer.
